Gilmore | Henne Community Fund Achievements

Last year you, the Berks County Community, took a stand and made an investment in us. An investment that paid dividends throughout your community. We are optimists, and what was accomplished in such a short amount of time in 2010 still has us shaking our heads.

Below are some of the 2010 accomplishments of the Gilmore | Henne Community Fund:

Revitalized one of Reading's most dilapidated parks, 2nd and Oley
Held a number of park programs in conjunction with Olivet Boys and Girls Club
Sponsored the Olivet's flag football league
Started work on our 2011 project, Barbey's Playground (working in conjunction with the City of Reading)
Administering scholarships for two student athletes at Wilson High School
Grant for Berks Parks and Recreation Department for the revitalization of Stone Cliff
NAACP recognized the Gilmore | Henne Fund with the 2010 Community Impact Award
